Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026
RMBR.ME ("RMBR", "we", "us") helps families create a memorial for someone they have lost and interact with it through AI. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Memorials often contain deeply personal information, and we treat it with care.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name and email address when you register.
- Memorial content you provide — photos, memories, biographical details, personality traits, dates, and the messages you send in chat. This is the heart of the product and may include information about a deceased person and about you.
- Generated content — AI chat replies and animated videos created from the content you provide.
- Usage and billing data — counts of chat messages and video generations used against your plan, and, for paid plans, billing details handled by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).
- Technical data — standard server logs needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use your information
- To create and operate your memorials, including generating chat replies and videos.
- To authenticate you, enforce plan limits, and provide support.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To maintain the security, reliability, and integrity of the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your memorial content to train our own models.
Service providers who process your data
To deliver the product we share data with a small number of processors, only as needed to provide the service:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage for your account and memorial content.
- xAI (Grok) — powers AI chat and photo-to-video generation. The persona details, memories, and messages needed to produce a reply or a video are sent to xAI to generate that output.
- Stripe — payment processing for paid plans.
- Vercel — application hosting.
Each processor handles data under its own terms and privacy policy. We may use an alternative AI provider as a failover; where we do, the same "only what is needed to generate the output" principle applies.
Sharing with other people
You can create share links that let family and friends view a memorial. Anyone with a valid, unexpired link can view the memorial's content. You control these links and can revoke them at any time from the memorial's Family tab.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and memorial content until you delete it or ask us to. You can delete memorials and individual items from within the app. To delete your entire account and its content, contact us at the address below and we will remove it from our systems and instruct our processors to do the same, subject to legal retention requirements (for example, payment records).
Security
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to limit access to it.
Children
RMBR.ME is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us and we will respond as required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
